Cultural Activities and Social Life

Every week Interlangues’ students get involved in a cultural activity. Some take place at our own friendly and lively campus: Tuesday night at the Movie’s or a guest speaker. As Canada’s capital, Ottawa offers a great variety of cultural activities: a guided visit of Parliament, interactive exhibitions at our museums, festivals year round, historical sites, noon hour concerts, professional sports…

Our students love to meet at the old Market, at the beautiful posh Rideau Centre or play pool at an Elgin St pool sports bar.

Nature is part of the Ottawa way of life! We live in the greenest capital! Imagine skating on the Rideau Canal, the longest ice rink in the world with Students Animators and friends! Ski slopes, crosscountry ski paths are less than half an hour away from Interlangues’ downtown campus! And why not try snowshowing, a typical Canadian outdoor sport? Winter sports are part of our Canadian culture and our students get to enjoy it all. Sugarbushing is one of the highlights of the winter combining a cultural activity with an outdoor trip.

The summer months bring their fun too: yoga on Parliament Hill – our Prime Minister joins us sometimes too! Our students enjoy numerous quiet bike and roller skater’s paradise. The nearby Gatineau Hills offers beautiful tracks for hiking and pristine lakes for swimming or kayaking.
